COVID-19 Vaccinations

Due to the new Omicron variant the government have requested that all GP surgeries re-deploy staff to support the expanded covid booster programme.

We may therefore need to re-arrange routine appointments during the next six weeks so that we can support the covid boosters.  If you already have a routine appointment booked at the surgery from the 20th December to the end of January 2022 you may shortly receive a text message/letter/phone call to inform you that your appointment will be re-arranged in due course.

Please note that your GP surgery will continue to operate and the surgery doors will remain open along with our telephone lines to deal with any urgent problems and any appointments that still require ongoing treatment.

Please continue to order you prescription on-line and to utilise the E Consult service where appropriate.

Thank you for your continued support.

Appointments that may need to be arranged include;

  •     Routine Smears
  •     Spirometry
  •     NHS Healthchecks
  •     Hypertension annual review
  •     CVD annual reviews
  •     24 BP checks to be monitored at home
  •     Minor Surgery
  •     Coils/Implants – as per the FSRH guidance
  •     Annual Diabetic (stable)/foot checks
  •     Pre diabetic
  •     Asthma routine recalls only
  •     COPD
  •     Routine Bloods
  •     Ear syringing

Contacting the Surgery

Routine telephone/face-to-face appointments with GP's and Advanced Nurse Practitioners can be booked online. Requests for medical advice, treatment, sick notes, GP letters and results should be made, where possibly by using an E-Consultation form.  We will respond to you by the end of the next working day.

Denby Dale Surgery

Our Denby Dale surgery is now open for appointments every morning, Monday-Friday but will be closed on 23rd December 2021.

Online Access

We are asking that all our patients make prescription requests online.  If you do not have a computer/smart phone you can give proxy access to a friend or relative who can order on your behalf.  Prescriptions will be sent electronically to the Pharmacy of your choice.

Please only order your regular medication and do not stockpile.  This will create unnecessary shortages.
